We are looking for a senior automation engineer to design and build automation that removes manual work across engineering and operations — test, deployment, workflow, and infrastructure automation.
We are looking for a senior automation engineer to design and build automation that removes manual work across engineering and operations — test, deployment, workflow, and infrastructure automation. The role is hands-on and senior: identifying high-value opportunities, building robust and maintainable automation, and raising the automation maturity of the teams they support.
The defining shift for this seat in 2026 is building agentic automation — moving beyond scripts toward "agentic loops" and autonomous agents that plan and execute multi-step tasks as intelligent partners. Leading teams now define and implement automation standards for agentic workflows across the enterprise, and design AI-driven automation with intelligent agents, backend services, and integrations.
The value this person brings is measurable toil reduction and faster, more reliable processes through well-engineered automation, now including agentic capabilities with guardrails.
We are seeking an automation-first engineer who spots toil and eliminates it with maintainable, well-tested automation. They document and enable others and are pragmatic about where automation — and agents — actually add value.
This is a senior IC profile that partners across engineering, DevOps, QA, and operations. It suits someone open to a hybrid or remote-first engagement, and to mobilization to the Middle East, Europe, or North America depending on the client. The person we want treats automation as engineering, not scripting hacks.
A strong candidate for this role has built high-value, reliable automation and raised a team's automation maturity — someone who has chosen the right things to automate and made them observable and safe. They bring an openness to building agentic automation with standards and guardrails.
In practice, the responsibilities break down as follows:
We want to see an engineer fluent in scripting and pipelines who builds automation as maintainable software, and who is moving into building agentic automation with sensible standards and guardrails.

Automation performance (KPIs from research)
Modern Agentic AI / AIOps (niche areas we are seeking — depth explored at interview)
This role is delivered through Solutions Chapter Group's Human Resources chapter (Chapter 12) as a Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) engagement, under our Technical Recruitment stream. Rather than a "post-and-pray" marketplace approach, we use a Curated Professional Recruitment model: candidate profiles are pre-vetted in our internal database, and when a required profile isn't already available, our dedicated Scout network conducts global headhunting to secure it. We screen and match candidates against each client's specific requirements, and placements may be remote or an on-site deployment with mobilization to the Middle East, Europe, or the United States.
From a recruitment-fit perspective, we screen for:
