We are looking for a senior cloud engineer to design, build, and operate secure, reliable, and cost-efficient cloud infrastructure that enables product engineering teams to deliver software quickly and safely.
We are looking for a senior cloud engineer to design, build, and operate secure, reliable, and cost-efficient cloud infrastructure that enables product engineering teams to deliver software quickly and safely. The role is hands-on and senior: owning cloud reliability and cost, implementing well-architected patterns as infrastructure-as-code, and acting as a go-to for complex cloud problems.
The defining shift for this seat in 2026 is embedding cost discipline and, increasingly, AI workloads into the cloud. FinOps has gone mainstream — around 80% of large enterprises now run a FinOps function — so senior cloud engineers are expected to embed cost awareness, usage optimization, and governance directly into onboarding and operational workflows. At the same time the role increasingly provisions and operates the substrate for AI/agentic workloads and applies AIOps for observability and auto-remediation.
The value this person brings is secure, reliable, cost-optimized cloud infrastructure delivered as code — ready to host modern AI workloads under governance.
We are seeking an automation-first, cost-conscious cloud engineer with a reliability and security mindset. They document well, solve complex cloud problems methodically, and treat infrastructure as code by default.
This is a senior IC profile that partners across infra / DevOps, security, data/platform, and engineering. It suits someone open to a hybrid or remote-first engagement, and to mobilization to the Middle East, Europe, or North America depending on the client. The person we want embeds cost and governance into the workflow rather than bolting them on later.
A strong candidate for this role has built and operated cloud environments as code and owned their reliability and cost — someone who has cut cloud spend, secured workloads, and handled cloud incidents. They bring an openness to hosting AI workloads under governance.
In practice, the responsibilities break down as follows:
We want to see a cloud engineer fluent in IaC and well-architected practice who owns reliability and cost as first-class concerns, and who is curious about running governed AI workloads in the cloud.
Core cloud
Cloud performance (KPIs from research)
Modern Agentic AI / AIOps (niche areas we are seeking — depth explored at interview)
This role is delivered through Solutions Chapter Group's Human Resources chapter (Chapter 12) as a Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) engagement, under our Technical Recruitment stream. Rather than a "post-and-pray" marketplace approach, we use a Curated Professional Recruitment model: candidate profiles are pre-vetted in our internal database, and when a required profile isn't already available, our dedicated Scout network conducts global headhunting to secure it. We screen and match candidates against each client's specific requirements, and placements may be remote or an on-site deployment with mobilization to the Middle East, Europe, or the United States.
From a recruitment-fit perspective, we screen for:
Areas to explore at interview *(topics only)*
Cloud engineering, IaC, cloud reliability & cost ownership, cloud security
These niche AI areas are seeds we are looking for; depth will be explored during the interview process.
