We are looking for a Senior DBA accountable for the reliability, performance, security, and recoverability of enterprise database platforms that support business-critical applications.
We are looking for a Senior DBA accountable for the reliability, performance, security, and recoverability of enterprise database platforms that support business-critical applications. The role designs and operates highly available database environments, leads complex troubleshooting, and establishes standards and automation that reduce risk and improve service levels.
The defining shift for this seat in 2026 is that the DBA now sits at the intersection of performance engineering, security, cloud operations, backup/recovery, migration, automation, and business continuity. AI-driven tools increasingly assist tuning, and successful DBAs embrace automation to eliminate toil and focus on higher-level architecture.
The value this person brings is reliable, secure, well-tuned databases with senior depth and growing operational automation — acting as the escalation point that keeps data platforms available.
We are seeking a meticulous, reliability-focused DBA who stays calm during incidents, documents and coordinates clearly, and keeps learning across relational, NoSQL, and managed services. They reduce repetitive toil through automation and scripting.
This is a senior IC profile that partners across DBAs, infrastructure, application teams, and security. It suits someone open to a hybrid engagement with on-site presence for critical operations, and to mobilization to the Middle East, Europe, or North America depending on the client. The person we want safeguards data integrity.
A strong candidate for this role has administered production databases and been the escalation point for complex issues — someone who has designed HA environments, tuned performance, and handled recoveries. They bring an openness to AI-assisted tuning and to eliminating toil through automation.
In practice, the responsibilities break down as follows:
We want to see a hands-on senior DBA with real tuning and recovery depth who automates routine work, and who is open to AI-assisted tuning and monitoring.

Database performance (KPIs from research)
Modern Agentic AI / AIOps (niche areas we are seeking — depth explored at interview)
These niche AI areas are seeds we are looking for; depth will be explored during the interview process.
This role is delivered through Solutions Chapter Group's Human Resources chapter (Chapter 12) as a Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) engagement, under our Technical Recruitment stream. Rather than a "post-and-pray" marketplace approach, we use a Curated Professional Recruitment model: candidate profiles are pre-vetted in our internal database, and when a required profile isn't already available, our dedicated Scout network conducts global headhunting to secure it. We screen and match candidates against each client's specific requirements, and placements may be remote or an on-site deployment with mobilization to the Middle East, Europe, or the United States.
From a recruitment-fit perspective, we screen for:
