We are looking for a senior SAP Basis administrator to own the technical operation of SAP landscapes — installation, configuration, performance, upgrades, transports, and reliability of the SAP platform that critical business processes depend on. This role is deeply specialized and senior: managing complex SAP environments on-prem and in the cloud, ensuring availability, and leading migrations and upgrades safely.
The defining shift for this seat in 2026 is adopting AIOps for SAP operations and modernizing the landscape onto cloud. Proactive monitoring, anomaly detection, and automation of routine Basis tasks are becoming standard, and applied broadly AIOps cuts alert noise 85–95% and improves MTTR 40–60%. The 2026 generation of operational AI increasingly closes the loop — investigating an issue and taking a bounded remediation action rather than only alerting.
The value this person brings is a stable, performant, well-governed SAP platform with growing operational automation.
We are seeking a meticulous, reliability-focused SAP Basis specialist who stays calm during critical operations and coordinates clearly with functional teams. They are change-disciplined and keep learning as SAP and cloud evolve.
This is a senior IC profile that partners across SAP functional / dev teams, infrastructure, security, and the business. It suits someone open to a hybrid engagement with on-site presence for critical operations, and to mobilization to the Middle East, Europe, or North America depending on the client. The person we want safeguards a business-critical platform.
A strong candidate for this role has managed complex SAP landscapes and led upgrades or migrations safely — someone who has owned availability, tuned performance, and handled SAP incidents. They bring an openness to AIOps for SAP monitoring and task automation.
In practice, the responsibilities break down as follows:
We want to see an SAP Basis specialist with genuine depth in landscape operations and migrations who keeps a business-critical platform reliable, and who is open to AIOps for monitoring and routine automation.

SAP performance (KPIs from research)
Modern Agentic AI / AIOps (niche areas we are seeking — depth explored at interview)
This role is delivered through Solutions Chapter Group's Human Resources chapter (Chapter 12) as a Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) engagement, under our Technical Recruitment stream. Rather than a "post-and-pray" marketplace approach, we use a Curated Professional Recruitment model: candidate profiles are pre-vetted in our internal database, and when a required profile isn't already available, our dedicated Scout network conducts global headhunting to secure it. We screen and match candidates against each client's specific requirements, and placements may be remote or an on-site deployment with mobilization to the Middle East, Europe, or the United States.
From a recruitment-fit perspective, we screen for:
