We are looking for a senior back-end engineer to design and build the server-side systems, APIs, and data access that power applications — owning correctness, performance, scalability, and reliability of back-end services. The role is hands-on and senior: leading design of complex services, mentoring engineers through code review, and making sound architecture and trade-off decisions.
The defining shift for this seat in 2026 is building back-end services that incorporate LLMs, retrieval, tool use, and agentic workflows. That means designing the agents themselves — orchestration, sub-agent architecture, tool integration — and, critically, the evaluation discipline that determines whether they are trustworthy enough to ship, plus the instrumentation and quality metrics that keep non-deterministic systems honest in production.
The value this person brings is robust, scalable back-end systems delivered with high quality, increasingly integrating AI capabilities with the evaluation and observability to trust them.
We are seeking an engineer with strong judgment and ownership who communicates clearly, reviews code well, and mentors effectively. They are quality-focused and pragmatic about delivery, and treat AI integration as a systems problem with evaluation attached.
This is a senior IC profile that partners across engineering, product, data, DevOps, and QA. It suits someone open to a hybrid or remote-first engagement, and to mobilization to the Middle East, Europe, or North America depending on the client. The person we want raises the team's engineering bar.
A strong candidate for this role has designed and built complex server-side services and owned their reliability — someone who has made sound architecture trade-offs and mentored other engineers. They bring an openness to integrating LLMs, retrieval, and agents with the evaluation discipline to ship them safely.
In practice, the responsibilities break down as follows:
We want to see a back-end engineer with real depth in services, data, and distributed systems who cares about quality and reliability, and who is comfortable integrating LLMs and agents with evaluation.

This role is delivered through Solutions Chapter Group's Human Resources chapter (Chapter 12) as a Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) engagement, under our Technical Recruitment stream. Rather than a "post-and-pray" marketplace approach, we use a Curated Professional Recruitment model: candidate profiles are pre-vetted in our internal database, and when a required profile isn't already available, our dedicated Scout network conducts global headhunting to secure it. We screen and match candidates against each client's specific requirements, and placements may be remote or an on-site deployment with mobilization to the Middle East, Europe, or the United States.
From a recruitment-fit perspective, we screen for:
